Abstrak

Pemerintah Indonesia menargetkan ‘Indonesia Emas 2045,’ tetapi kekurangan gizi anak masih menjadi tantangan utama. Salah satu faktor penting yang memengaruhi kekurangan gizi adalah tingkat pendidikan orang tua. Penelitian sebelumnya telah menunjukkan bahwa konsumsi makanan anak dipengaruhi oleh pengetahuan dan pendidikan orang tua dan berbagai faktor multidimensi yang saling terkait. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh pendidikan orang tua terhadap peningkatan gizi anak di Indonesia, dengan fokus pada pengembangan model untuk bayi berusia 6 hingga 24 bulan yang menerima makanan pendamping ASI yang bergizi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah telaah pustaka yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan orang tua memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan jumlah bayi yang menerima makanan pendamping ASI yang bergizi. Selain itu, perubahan jumlah bayi yang mengonsumsi makanan pendamping ASI yang bergizi juga dipengaruhi oleh beberapa variabel kontrol, seperti akses orang tua terhadap internet, dampak merokok pada ibu rumah tangga, bantuan PKH, status pekerjaan orang tua, wilayah tempat tinggal, dan pengeluaran per kapita. Namun, penelitian ini memiliki keterbatasan karena tidak mencakup kualitas dan kuantitas makanan yang dikonsumsi oleh bayi, tidak mempertimbangkan pengaruh budaya setempat karena keterbatasan data, dan terutama berfokus pada aspek sosial ekonomi. Dengan demikian, pendidikan orang tua tidak hanya meningkatkan akses mereka terhadap informasi gizi yang berkualitas tetapi juga memperkaya pengetahuan mereka dan meningkatkan kesadaran tentang pentingnya gizi. Semua faktor ini secara kumulatif berkontribusi pada peningkatan asupan gizi untuk anak-anak, yang berdampak positif pada kesehatan jangka panjang mereka.
