Abstract

Digital transformation in the education sector is characterized by the implementation of blended learning, which is a combination of conventional learning models with the use of E-Learning (online). In its Implementation, the process of e-learning utilization is still problematic in education. This is due to the lack of ability of educators to use technology and inadequate digital technology infrastructure. This study aims to examine the use of e-learning as a complement to learning based on the perceptions of students and lecturers and the contribution of efforts made by lecturers in helping accelerate digital transformation in education. This research is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach at the Faculty of Engineering, Gorontalo State University. A total of 322 students and 46 lecturers as respondents in this study. The research instruments used questionnaires and interviews. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed (1) Student perceptions said that learning maximum learning process. (3) Lecturers can make several efforts to help the process of accelerating digital transformation. The conclusion is that there are differences of opinion between students and educators regarding the perception of the utilization of e-learning in learning. Then as an effort to support government policies in the process of accelerating digital transformation in the world of education, it is necessary to raise awareness to improve knowledge competencies about the use of the latest digital technology to support the creativity of designing more interactive and interesting learning content to increase the interest of students using e-learning. Therefore, the government also needs to follow up the efforts made by practitioners in the world of education by facilitating through the implementation of training related to the use of digital technology in learning for educators.
