Program Makan Siang Bergizi Gratis (MBG) merupakan intervensi kebijakan yang bertujuan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan gizi, termasuk kebutuhan anak sekolah. Namun, praktik implementasinya di sekolah menunjukkan adanya dimensi pedagogis yang berpotensi memperkuat tujuan program dengan menumbuhkan kebiasaan konsumsi dan kesadaran. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana literasi gizi berfungsi sebagai mekanisme penguat MBG di tingkat sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus di sebuah sekolah dasar negeri di Jawa Timur melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur, observasi praktik MBG, dan analisis dokumen. Analisis data menggunakan analisis tematik untuk mengidentifikasi pola praktik, hubungan sosial-pedagogis, dan mekanisme yang muncul dari interaksi sehari-hari. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa literasi gizi telah berkembang secara implisit melalui pengalaman makan bersama, interaksi guru-siswa, dan pembiasaan konsumsi, namun tetap tidak termasuk dalam kurikulum formal. Penguatan MBG tidak hanya terjadi melalui desain kebijakan, tetapi lebih melalui dinamika relasional antara guru, siswa, dan pengalaman konsumsi makanan yang membentuk mekanisme di tingkat sekolah. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa sekolah berfungsi sebagai pusat penerjemahan kebijakan ke dalam pengalaman belajar konkret siswa, sehingga memposisikan literasi gizi sebagai media penguatan program, bukan sekadar hasil pengetahuan. Studi ini memberikan kontribusi empiris mengenai pentingnya pendekatan berbasis praktik sekolah dalam merumuskan strategi untuk memperkuat MBG.
