Masalah gizi anak di Asia Tenggara, termasuk Indonesia, masih menjadi isu serius karena beban ganda malnutrisi. Meskipun Indonesia telah membuat kemajuan dalam mengurangi angka malnutrisi, tantangan tetap ada dalam mengatasi stunting, kekurangan gizi, dan obesitas pada anak. Faktor sosial ekonomi dan pola makan yang tidak sehat semakin memperburuk kondisi ini. Pendidikan gizi berkelanjutan di sekolah, yang diimplementasikan melalui inisiatif kantin hijau, berfungsi sebagai strategi untuk memperkenalkan kebiasaan makan sehat sejak usia dini. Inisiatif ini sejalan dengan Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDGs) dan program nasional Asta Cita, di mana pendidikan gizi berkelanjutan berkontribusi pada penguatan ketahanan pangan anak. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi inisiatif implementasi kantin hijau di sekolah dasar sebagai sarana penyediaan makanan sehat dan promosi pendidikan gizi berkelanjutan untuk meningkatkan ketahanan pangan siswa. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan dengan data yang diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, dan dianalisis melalui reduksi, tampilan, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kantin hijau berkontribusi pada peningkatan ketahanan pangan siswa dengan menumbuhkan kebiasaan makan sehat dan meningkatkan literasi gizi. Selain itu, keberhasilan program ini sangat bergantung pada keterlibatan sekolah, guru, siswa, dan orang tua. Temuan ini memperkuat peran strategis sekolah dasar sebagai agen kunci dalam mempromosikan ketahanan pangan dan pendidikan gizi berkelanjutan di tingkat lokal.
